She earned worldwide recognition and admiration by giving the world one of its most famous moments in the world of sport when she scored the world's first ten-point perfect score on asymmetric bars, at the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976. To add to that the feat, she would go on to record 6 more perfect 10, which made her the youngest Olympic gold medalist, at just 14 years old. In addition to helping Nadia Comaneci attract attention from everywhere, but she also helped Romania locate itself in the international map. In achieving a result that was inconceivable and a sporting legend, she brought gymnastics into the spotlight of the world's the spotlight. Also, it changed the way people think of women gymnasts. The impact she had was such that she was named the Olympic toe-on and release move. These moves remain extremely difficult. Alongside the Olympics her performance was impressive. She also showed outstanding skills at World Championships and European Championships too, and thus became an icon and one of the greatest gymnasts anyone could get.
